When COVID cancelled their destination wedding, Kaitlyn and Kevin, with a day’s notice, decided to get married on their original wedding day in June! They went out to dinner in a little cafe in DC, started a zoom call with their family, and self-officiated their wedding! Can you imagine how beautiful that was?!
Fast forward to August, their family was finally able to gather to celebrate their marriage all together this past weekend. They had family come in from all over, and it was so much fun! Every single one of them was full of happiness for them and excited to party! Kaitlyn originally reached out to ask about having a wedding day session that would just include their family photos, bridal party, and pictures of the two of them. I immediately jumped at this beautiful way to celebrate their love and capture wedding photos for this very deserving couple.
I never knew how easy it would be to get to know them and how deserving they truly were! Without a second thought, they pivoted to an intimate wedding ceremony. Kaitlyn and Kevin talked about their wedding day with such happiness and grace. I could tell they were just so happy to be married, even if it wasn’t on a beach like they envisioned.
It was my first time at Morven Park, but I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. I will forever love a beautiful field with tall grasses and pretty white buildings! And this park had it all!
