As I drove to Charlottesville, I prayed for the rain to stop. I have no idea what to expect from this engagement session on Mariah and Travis’s Dairy Farm. As I drove into the beautiful farm down a long driveway lined with trees (aka my dream entrance to our dream house!), I instantly fell in love. There were huge fields, red barns, and beautiful fences covering the property! I was in heaven!

Then I met Mariah and Travis. I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to be able to capture amazing people like these two. I seriously couldn’t be more thankful for this job and the opportunity to be a part of this special time in so many people’s lives.

Mariah and Travis met while working in Arizona, and now, they both live in Charlottesville, Virginia and work on a farm taking care of their cows, chickens, dogs and cat. It was so nice to have a tour of their farm and learn a little about farm life! Mariah and Travis even wanted to take some pictures in their normal farm clothes, which I LOVED! I loved how much this engagement shoot felt true to who they are as people.

I was watching the weather all week, but the weather looked like it would hold out. Unfortunately, it started raining the moment I arrived, and didn’t stop until about 20 minutes before the end of their session. Even with the obstacle of rain and wind, Mariah and Travis were SO AMAZING! They were so cuddly, naturals in front of the camera, and laughed like they weren’t a bit cold and wet. I was so impressed! I love when my couples are ready for every kind of weather.
