Tears filled his eyes as she came to the door. He could only see the bottom of her gorgeous dress, and instantly the excitement of the moment overwhelmed him. As she slowly came down the stairs at the beautiful Mount Vernon Inn Garden, her beauty struck him once again. Matt tried his best to keep his composure, but you could see he was holding back tears! His emotion was so sweet! He wasn’t the only one who cried during their love-filled ceremony! While reading her vows (which were the sweetest and most sentimental vows!) both of them cried again! I had a hard time seeing through the tears forming in my eyes as they hugged each other. It was one of the most emotional ceremonies I’ve seen, and honestly, it was beautiful. I was honored to be there to capture it all.

Matt and Brittney both put MJ, their sweet pup, in their vows. You could tell she was such an important part of their lives! She even made an appearance during the ceremony with her adorable flower leash! Matt said he knew Brittney was the one when MJ immediately took to her. Dog just know best, don’t they?! 

Their intimate wedding at the Mount Vernon Inn was so beautiful! The bridal suite was in a beautiful historic sitting room! When I stepped into that room, I immediately saw a vision of a beautiful bridal portrait on the sofa in the corner, and I’m so glad we fit it in before the ceremony!! The morning of her wedding, Brittney texted me to tell me she was excited and to say that rain was good luck! And it was! The rain stopped long enough for us to take portraits outside! It was a perfect day!
